Profile

Apres Ski are an awesome four-piece rock and pop covers group who have been voted "the most popular band in the French ski resorts" for the last two years running in an online www.natives.co.uk poll completed by seasonaires and holiday makers.

They play an eclectic mix of rock and pop music from the 50's through to the current day and are renowned for their high energy performances and fantastic sound. They are at their strongest playing in front of a large audience of people and working them into a frenzy with their upbeat party set.

Comprising of drums, bass, lead and rhythm guitar, and great three-part backing vocals, the band have developed their high energy performance, repertoire and sound over 7 winter ski seasons in the French Alps (including Val d'Isere, Meribel, Alp d'Heuz, Deux Alpe, Les Arcs, Chamonix ) and several tours of the Cote d'Azur and Scandinavia .

Apres Ski use top quality sound and lighting equipment and will guarantee a great show for any event. An awesome band!

" We'd seen Apres Ski many times during our years working in Val d'Isere so when we found out they were free to play on the weekend of our wedding we booked them straightaway. Dealing with the admin and logistics was really easy even remotely. On the day of the wedding they set up really quietly downstairs and then when it was time to go put on a fantastic show. We'd invited 70 guests from the UK to Val d'Isere so we wanted to make sure they had a great time. Apres Ski made the night for us, playing three great sets - loads of energy, great playing, excellent repertoire and going late into the night. They really responded to the crowd on the dance floor and played longer and louder than we expected with every extra song being appreciated by the crowd who then asked for more. So many of our guests have said to us afterwards how much they loved the band and that it really made the night for them. These guests ranged from 19 to 65 showing how versatile the band are and what a great, broad ranging repertoire they have. We'd book them again tomorrow given half a chance! The best money we've spent in a long time "

" Thank you so much for playing at our wedding on 27 August 2011 at Kirtlington Park. Simon and I were thrilled with your performance as were all the guests. Hopefully you had a good time too and managed to enjoy some hog roast in between sets. There was some energetic dancing fuelled by a well stocked bar and a perhaps over enthusiastic glo stick and shot ski crowd. We look forward to seeing you play in the upcoming ski season. "

" Apres Ski played at my wedding in June and were absolutely superb. We had 110 guests in a marquee in a meadow and Apres Ski played after dinner. The dancefloor was rammed, and jumping, all night and my wife and I had numerous questions from the guests about where we had found such a great band to play for us. Their set was spot on and catered perfectly for our friends and for some of the older guests. Apres Ski played at my wedding in June and were absolutely superb. " Ed and the boys from apres ski drove through the night from val d'isere to play at our wedding despite the arrival of ed's new born just hours before. They were very professional and went above and beyond. Most importantly the quality of their music was exceptional and they had the whole party dancing including both the groom and his mum leaping around like loonies. Extremely highly recommended. Further to this would you pass this on to the boys and notably ed for his big sacrifice in order to fulfill the commitment he had promised to do. I truly thought they were exceptionally good and We loved it "

" The band were fantastic thank you. Everyone was up and dancing, in particular Andy's 7 year old niece who turned from angelic bridesmaid into a 'pink feather boa-wearing rock star' once she found a blue blow up guitar!. Thank you so much again! "

" Apres Ski totally rocked our wedding. They hiked up to the top of a mountain to play for us, and had the dance floor jumping from the moment they started playing until the early hours. The venue only had a limited set up time but they were so professional, we didn't need to worry about a thing. They knew exactly what to play to suit the crowd and had both the oldies and younger ones up dancing all night. They are an awesome band and a great bunch of lads who go out of their way to make your party/wedding one to remember. Also helped our bar bill as our guests didn't want to leave the dance floor! "

" Apres Ski were the perfect band to get the wedding party going! They had everyone on the dance floor by the first song! We couldn't have asked for a more professional and awesome band, and they played everything that we wanted, even the encore! I would not hestiate to use the band and the Gigz Management again, just need another excuse to hire them! Hopefully see the band in the alps this year!

" A great night made even better by Apres Ski. Thank you so much for giving your all, not that I thought you would do anything but. Our Wedding was in the Lake District so I guess it was a pretty long two days, getting there and back, but this did not detract from the two sets whatsoever. Apres Ski were on cracking form and made the evening. It is always difficult to judge a wedding crowd as both the people and ages can differ hugely. Apres Ski judged this to a T and carried the more conservative guests into a place they probably had not expected to be! I would book them everytime! Thank you, we are now looking forward so much to seeing you in Val d'Isere again this winter.

" We both love live gigs so we wanted to make sure that the entertainment at our wedding was perfect. We had seen Apres Ski several times whilst snowboarding in the French Alps so when it came to booking a band for our own wedding, there was only one name on our list, Apres Ski! They were completely professional throughout the whole process, liaising with our venue beforehand and arriving to set up in plenty of time on the day. The set they played for us was fantastic, mixing golden oldies with some of our favourite tracks and we received so many comments about how amazing the band were. We particularly loved the version of our favourite Maximo Park track 'Books from Boxes' which they learnt from scratch for us. With everyone from tiny toddlers to our parents and everyone inbetween, Apres Ski went down a storm. Our highlight was the encore which had the whole room on their feet dancing madly together, just before the bride took her first ever stage-dive into the crowd! Thank you so much - you were the highlight of our day!

" We had an amazing night and obviously the band were absolutely key to that. We have had so many thank you's for a great night and mostly comments about what an amazing band, best gig they've been to and the fact that everyone ached the next day from so much dancing was testament to that. My last memory was standing by the stage at the end looking back and literally everyone at the party was up dancing and singing. Also the boys were very good in accommodating Jim in do his party piece as Elvis and then letting us both join in at the end which hopefully didn't cramp their style too much! I hope they enjoyed having such an appreciative audience. The landlord from the local pub who ran the bar for us confirmed last night that 200 pints of beer were drunk that night so that probably helped too! I hope the guys had a good journey home and we looking forward to seeing them out in Meribel next season!Best wishes and Thank you all again

" A Big thank you to every member of Apres Ski for being so incredibly friendly and for giving us such a fab night - your enthusiasm was brilliant and you had everyone rocking - just as it should be! Working with you and Gigz Management was easy-peasy! Perhaps we'll re-new our vows next year so we can get you guys back again! Oh.... and you must admit I was pretty hot on the drums! If you ever want to expand and bring in some female talent... Dave's got my number! "

" Both Andy and myself, and indeed everyone I spoke to thought the band were awesome! - They definatley put their all into the performance and played some brilliant stuff. The guys were really friendly (despite a couple of my wannabe rock star friends trying to get on the stage during the break!) & were very helpful and accommodating of all we asked of them. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.It was a great day followed by a great party thanks to Apres Ski! Thanks again, the whole Gigz Management experience has been friendly & 100% professional throughout, making our lives that little bit easier during the wedding planning 'experience'!

" Were so thrilled that Apres Ski played at our wedding !!!! Neither of us have done the Val D`isere Scene, so with a recommendation from a mate we ventured onto the Gigz Management website. As soon as we looked over the play list and listened to the handy demo we knew we had to have Apres Ski for the big day, and with a couple of Emails it was all sorted ! A stress free experience. Apres Ski turned up, set up and adapted well to a smaller more intimate venue and proceeded to belt out all our favourite tracks ! The place was rockin ! Apres Ski clearly are top class musicians who entertained us and all our guests with such passion and energy. All our requests were played and Apres Ski left everyone hot , sweaty and wanting more....truly brilliant !!!

" Apres Ski were a different class from beginning to end. We couldn't recommend a better band to play at a wedding. So many of our friends have said how good Apres Ski were and we have to admit they were fantastic. They managed to get everyone dancing and there is nothing better or funnier than seeing old family members jumping around whilst Apres Ski are banging out loads of top songs. If you're lucky enough to be getting married when Apres Ski are free then book them!

" Apres Ski were professional, personable and above all gave and excellent performance. They had the dance floor full from their first song and it was so obvious to both my wife and myself how much everyone was enjoying themselves. I would highly recommend Apres Ski to anyone looking for a lively, enthusiastic, and reliable band that can mix the classics with the songs that are currently rocking all the music festivals. " Yes, they are professional. Yes they adapt to the venue and crowd. And yes, they are a top set of lads. But most of all, Apres Ski rock! We booked them for our wedding having seen them live last winter and they were fantastic from the planning stage through to the performance, playing the songs we wanted whilst reacting to the mood. They learnt a new track we had requested and performed it spot on during their set. I can't speak highly enough of these guys, so if you're looking for a quality live band who will rock your party - book Apres Ski

" Apres Ski were ever-the-professionals at the gig we booked them for - they turned up and just got on with everything themselves, making my life really easy. They made the very best of a difficult venue and threw themselves into the gig, ensuring that the crowd were entertained and throwing themselves around to all the tunes we'd requested. A big THANK YOU!

" Apres Ski were fantastic, very talented guys and they did a great job! By the time the guys finished their second set they had a full dance floor of jumping people (the classic scene at a Challenger party!). They also played on for an extra 15 mins at the end of the night which was great!
