THE DONS Profile
The Dons formed from the Crème de la Crème of London's live band circuit. These highly experienced musicians have toured the UK, USA and Europe, played at Glastonbury Festival and South by South West in Texas, Los Angeles and New York. As well being played on Radio One and XFM these boys have worked and recorded in London's top studios including Abbey Road and RAK and toured with bands such as Damien Rice, The Kaiser Chiefs and Biffy Clyro. The Dons have a wealth of live function, weddings, parties and corporate experience having performed at all the top venues and hotels in London and around the rest of England. The set consists of classic tracks from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's right up to the most modern day of hits, which is constantly being updated. From Chuck Berry & The Beatles to The Blues Brothers & The Eagles to Aha & Duran Duran upto The Killers, RHCP and the Kings of Leon, all modern hits guaranteed to keep your dance floor filled all night plus plenty of oldies to please Mum and Dad! With duelling guitars, plus two brothers in the band giving you the tightest rhythm section and fantastic vocal harmonies combined with the use of only the highest quality sound equipment The Don's ensure your event will go off with a bang.........both barrels blazing!!!
The Dons are fully self-contained with their own high quality PA sound system and lights. We can provide recorded music for dancing in any intervals to save the cost of hiring a separate DJ. The Dons also have the option of using an electronic drum kit if there is a noise level meter at your venue. We are happy to travel and always willing to entertain! Nothing is impossible!!!
Just a quick note to say thank you to you and The Dons for a really great party on Saturday at Pennyhill Park. We had a great time and both your sets and music selection in between were fantastic – the conga was a nice touch. Everyone had a blast – thanks!

I thought the service you provided was really good, the whole process was hassle free, it was so simple to just fill in the information form and if I had any questions your response was swift and to the point. Thank god to be honest as everything else wedding related seemed so long winded and stressful. I also thought your website was really good, I liked the format and thought the content was perfect, it covered off everything and had all the info I needed. I spent hours looking through it!! We thought the band were fantastic, the lead singers voice was spot on and the dancefloor was never empty. They were real crowd pleasers and I got lots of really good feedback from our guests who thought they were brilliant. My nan made me laugh - she's nearly 80 and said to me after the wedding that she felt terribly guilty that she hardly spent any time talking to our family that had flown in from the states, as she spent the whole night on the dance floor dancing with my friends!

A lot of our guests are keen musicians and love rock, so i was a little worried about how good they would be, but i had no need to be. They were amazing and everyone has said how great they were. The Dons were absolutely brilliant, exactly what we were looking for. They were not only very professional but knew exactly how to get our party going. They were on time and the set-up was very unobtrusive. We had an amazing day and The Dons rounded things off brilliantly. Everyone had a great evening and we've never seen a band better able to get everyone dancing. Everyone enjoyed it and they even got a conga-line and dance-off going. It was exactly what we were hoping for and we were sad that it had to come to an end.

The Dons performance on the night of our wedding was absolutely fantastic. From the moment they arrived until they finished playing they surpassed all our expectations and made the evening for us and our guests. I could not recommend them highly enough, great songs performed really well that had all of our guests including those we've never seen dance and those approaching their 70s up and dancing. The Dons were fantastic and the standard was way above our expectations. They performed with enthusiasm and professionalism and assisted us with help at the end by letting us use their speakers when our DJ let us down. The quality of their sound was rich, vibrant and edgy and the 4 musicians were balanced and blended. I have never seen a dance floor so packed out at an RAF Officers' Mess function and all our 250 guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and commented afterwards how good the band were. Highly recommended from an ex professional musician!
