Mixing Your iPod Playlist

Mixing Your iPod Playlist

The last thing you want when the band stops playing is for an iPod play list to be put on where there a breaks in between each song. It's a guaranteed way to kill the atmosphere.

  1. Once you have a list of songs in your play list highlight your first song then click on file then get info.
  2. Click on options and alter/reduce the stop time (in seconds or milliseconds) to reduce the gap between your songs. You can then play the join in the songs back and keep altering the time until you are happy with it.
  3. Repeat this process throughout your play list.
  4. Delegate to one of your ushers to take charge of making sure your iPod is connected to the bands system and when to press play/stop.

Although this is a bit fiddly and you are not going to win a DJ mixing contract, it certainly helps to keep things flowing on the dance floor.
